HIS WORKS

The Bible is an unfolding story of the infinite, creator God revealing himself to humanity. Since Jesus Christ is the full revelation of God, knowing him is how we know God. Knowing God deeply involves reflecting on what God has revealed about himself and the truth he has revealed about who we are in Christ.

In HIS WORKS, men explore 5 essential truths about God’s work on our behalf (God is my…) and 5 corresponding truths about our new identity in Christ (In Christ I am…)  Weekly devotional assignments pair the majestic truths of God’s work for us with the outcomes in our lives.
HIS WORKS helps men discover the awesome works of God, motivated by his great love.  Life is a classroom, and each day can be a course in knowing God.  Our routine and seemingly ordinary lives take on an eternal dynamic as we grow in our knowledge of him.  As we grow to know Christ deeply, our life becomes integrated rather than compartmentalized; connected rather than isolated; engaged rather than disengaged.

▪ The life skill emphasis of HIS WORKS is the Appointment with God (AWG) habit, which is the foundational skill emphasis in all 8 journals of the Covenant Group Discipleship Series.  See descriptions in other journals for additional life skills developed.

HIS WORKS has ‘stand-alone’ benefits to those who use it but is recommended as part I of a 3-part Series.  The Adventure Series (HIS WORKS, HIS IMAGE, and HIS HEART) is the first of two training sets that comprise the Covenant Group Discipleship Series. Each journal takes about 12 weeks to complete, depending on the covenant group meeting schedule.
